Hodson Hall

Johns Hopkins University • Baltimore, Maryland

A 44,200-SF Classroom Building with an Auditorium

Hodson Hall, a three-story academic building located on JHU’s Homewood Campus, has been described as “bursting with high-tech amenities,” according to the university’s magazine. The building houses classrooms, lecture halls, a 485-seat auditorium, and an 80-seat boardroom. Mueller designed a dedicated air handling system for the archives of the Hodson Trust, providing precise temperature and humidity control; dedicated constant volume air handling units for the auditorium and boardroom; and VAV air handling systems for classrooms and support spaces. In addition to all MEP engineering, Mueller provided lighting design, including a building-wide lighting control system interfaced with AV controls.
